Wei-Chen (Sabrina) Chen
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Is there something inside that’s keeping you from enjoying your life to the fullest? Do you want to connect with others but keep retreating into yourself? When we can express ourselves without self-judgment or fear, we can learn to see our strengths and overcome old wounds. Sadness and worry are common experiences in life, but they shouldn’t keep you from living the life you want. People with depression, anxiety, or mental illness need not lead lives of suffering. Traumas can be healed, destructive mental habits can be unlearned, and self-acceptance can be built. Medication, for some, can play a role.
Medication can relieve symptoms, but I believe that more is required to heal someone from their previous traumas and ways of existing, allowing them to be kind and accepting of themselves, and lead a meaningful life. I collaborate with my clients to build treatment plans based in therapeutic conversation, lifestyle coaching, and sometimes pharmacology.
To further assist my clients in a non-pharmacological way, I am passionate about studying therapeutic practices and have received therapy training in, including DBT, CBT, ACT, MI, and AEDP. Thank you for your time, and I am looking forward to working with you. I hope you’ll reach out and talk with me about the healing you seek.
