Doctor of Nursing Practice- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- (he, him, his)

I first began my healthcare career by enlisting in the United States Navy Reserve in 2012 as a Hospital Corpsman and have continued to serve since then. I began my nursing career working as an emergency room nurse and then transitioned to my true passion, mental health. I am an Alumnus of The University of Tennessee Health Science center where I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice with a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certification.

I have four years of experience working with the child and adolescent population within the inpatient and residential treatment settings. I also have three years of experience working in the inpatient setting managing acute mental health crises for the adult population as well. During my years of working in the mental health field, have developed a strong passion for helping clients deal with and cope with the difficulties of mental health. In the treatment planning phase, I focus on providing professional, informative, and simplified information so we can work better as a team. I offer genesight testing to determine which medications are best for you based on your genetics. I teach coping skills as part of brief psychotherapy to help you become independent in managing your own mental health. I also strive to provide culturally competent care to better serve those in need who have felt unseen due to their background or identity. My goal for all of my clients regardless of their age is to live an overall better life and gain clarity on their mental health journey. I simply require you to come as you are and we will work through the rest!

Lastly, I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, American Nurses Association and a Minority Fellowship Alumnus associated with the Substance and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
