Adam Horwitz
DNP, PMHNP-BC, Doctor of Nursing Practice
I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice specializing in psychiatry and have spent my entire adult life in the mental health field. I carry a decade of clinical and research-based psychiatric experience, having pursued a career in academia prior to direct patient care. I seek to integrate these two fields and give people the most clinically sound, research-supported options.
I'm practical and pragmatic by nature and apply this to my treatment approaches. I want to find the best opportunities for you - the best medicine in the world does not work if it’s too expensive or interferes with your lifestyle. Everyone is unique and I will help you find realistic, effective, and sustainable solutions for your needs.
I also truly believe healthcare is a partnership - you are the most important part of the treatment team. I will inform and advise, but want you to be as actively involved in the process as possible. My office is a judgement-free zone, so feel free to raise any and all issues. It is your time. It is your health.
Lastly, appointment lengths are very flexible – you should never feel rushed. We’ll make time to explore and fully understand all choices. I also offer non-traditional appointment settings - would you rather go for a walk or bike ride than sit in an office? We can make that happen.
